Biocide Treatment

Biocide Treatment

Biocide treatment in tennis court maintenance involves applying chemicals to eliminate harmful microorganisms like algae, mold, and fungi. It prevents slippery surfaces, maintains court safety, and extends surface durability, ensuring optimal playing conditions.

Unfortunately, moss is persistent problem and the only effective way of control is chemical treatment that contains active ingredients such as quaternary ammonium chloride and makes up a concentrated biocide. In severe cases the court has to be washed first and then a residual treatment applied.

Once cleaned we advise at least one biocide treatment per year but where the court is surround by trees possibly two will be required.

Weed Treatment

Weed Treatment

Weed treatment in tennis maintenance involves removing or preventing unwanted plants on and around the court. This ensures a smooth, safe playing surface and prevents cracks or damage. Treatments include herbicides, manual removal, or eco-friendly methods like steam.

As part of a typical planned preventative routine we will apply herbicides and manage any vegetation around the courts.

Pressure Washing

Pressure Washing

Pressure washing in tennis maintenance involves using high-pressure water to clean the court surface. It removes dirt, algae, mold, and debris that can make the court slippery and unsafe. Regular pressure washing ensures proper grip, extends surface life, and enhances playability.

Power Brushing

Power Brushing

Power brushing in tennis court maintenance refers to the process of using a motorized brush to clean and level the surface of a tennis court, particularly on clay, synthetic grass, or other loose-surfaced courts. This technique helps maintain the court’s playability, longevity, and appearance. Here’s how it works and why it’s important:

We use industrial quality rotary, lance & pressure broom cleaning equipment that will clean and unblock the porous surface leaving the court clean, slip free and functional.

If your court surface has moss growth and is dirty then a thorough professional pressure clean will improve its’ appearance, drainage and make it less slippery.

When a court is dry the moss & algae is not so noticeable or a problem. However, after a period of rain there are many instances of players falling and injuring themselves.

A regular maintenance programme involving cleaning & moss treatment will leave your court safe to play on throughout the year.
